And if you've landed on this page, I'm guessing you're somewhere in that particular kind of in-between — where things are actually working, you've built something real, but the next level keeps feeling just out of reach. You're showing up to the networking events. You're doing the work. You just need the right people to find you, and a system that handles what happens after they do.
I know that feeling because I'm living it too.
But despite my best efforts, my business wasn't thriving. I was frustrated with ineffective marketing strategies, feeling invisible, and overwhelmed by my endless to-do list. It felt like I was treading water. No matter how hard I tried, I wasn't really getting anywhere.
Here's the honest version of my story.
I've spent over a decade as a special education teacher — ten years of learning how to meet people exactly where they are, figure out what they need, and build a system around that. It turns out that's not so different from what great marketing does.
But somewhere along the way, I started building something else on the side.
It started with a pull toward the business world I couldn't ignore. I spent years in SaaS watching how the right tools and the right messaging could completely change the trajectory of a small business. I had a journalism background, years of writing, editing, finding the exact right words, and I kept watching small local businesses struggle to communicate what made them worth choosing. I knew I could help with that.
So I started learning. Then I started doing. And now I run KM Collective while still teaching full time, which means I understand something about trying to grow while life is already full, about doing meaningful work in the margins, about wanting more without burning everything down to get it.
I'm not telling you that to impress you. I'm telling you because it means I will never look at your budget, your goals, or your timeline and make you feel small for where you are. I'm in the middle of my own climb. I get it.
What I actually believe about marketing.
I believe small businesses lose not because they don't work hard enough, but because nobody built them a real system. The leads come in and fall through the cracks. The follow-up never happens. The ads run but the funnel isn't ready. There's noise everywhere and no clear path from "I found you" to "I hired you."
That's what I fix.
I don't just run ads and hand you a report. I build the whole infrastructure - the messaging, the funnel, the automations, the follow-up sequences - so that when someone finds you, your business is actually ready to convert them. And then I stay, because a system without someone tending it is just expensive software.
I work with a small number of clients at a time, on purpose. Because the kind of work I do requires actually knowing your business, your voice, and what you're trying to build. You won't get handed off. You won't get a template. You'll get me.
If any of this sounds like what you've been looking for...
I'd love to talk. Not a sales call. Just a real conversation about where you are, where you want to go, and whether I'm the right person to help you get there.
You've already done the hard part of building something worth growing. Let's make sure the right people can find it.
